What is TPI?

Turning Point Intergroup (TPI) is the name of the local service body that exists to carry the message of recovery through the 12 steps. TPI also addresses the needs of the OA meetings in its service area.

An essential TPI activity is to support OA newcomers and members who want to start a new meeting. If you’re interested in starting a new meeting — on Zoom, online or via phone — contact OAperson12@gmail.com and we will direct you to the resources you need.

Local TPI activities include organizing OA Marathon of Meetings on select holidays that give members additional opportunities for fellowship, as well as hosting a bi-annual retreat.

TPI can also serve as a sounding board for OA groups within our service area that are having a particular concern that they have not been able to resolve. OA groups that would like support are encouraged to contact TPI at OAperson12@gmail.com.

TPI is also a conduit of information from the larger OA service bodies, including OA Region 5 (one of X regions) and the World Service Conference, the largest service body of OA. Elected or appointed TPI members, called delegates, are eligible to serve on select Region and WSC committees as well as attend their meetings.
